Privacy Policy

Summary: Qurantify is designed with privacy by default. We do not sell your data, we do not display advertisements, and we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the app's features. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple and Google — we never handle your payment details.

1. Who We Are

Qurantify is developed and operated by Azizi Digital, based in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy applies to the Qurantify mobile application (iOS and Android) and website at qurantify.com.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the absolute minimum data required to deliver the app's features:

Location data — Used solely to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. Location is processed on-device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings.
Device preferences — Settings such as your chosen theme, font size, selected reciter, and translation language are stored locally on your device using standard device storage. This data never leaves your device.
Reading progress and bookmarks — Your reading position, bookmarks, and progress are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data.
Crash reports — If the app crashes, anonymised diagnostic data may be collected automatically by Apple (via TestFlight/App Store) or Google (via Play Console) to help us identify and fix issues. This data does not include personally identifiable information and is governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
In-app purchase status — Whether you hold an active Premium subscription or lifetime purchase is verified directly with Apple (StoreKit 2) or Google Play Billing on your device. We do not store purchase history on any server. No payment card details ever reach us.

We do not collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment card information, browsing history, contacts, or any other personal data beyond what is described above.

3. How We Use Your Data

Location data is used only to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction in real-time, entirely on your device.
Crash diagnostics are used solely to improve app stability.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

The app and website use the following third-party services:

Quran.com CDN (download.quranicaudio.com) — Audio recitation files are streamed from Quran.com's open CDN. When you stream or download audio, standard HTTP request metadata (including your IP address and the requested file path) is sent to their servers. This CDN is provided free to use by Quran.com.
cdn.jsdelivr.net (quran-json) — Quran Arabic text and translations are fetched from the quran-json dataset via the jsDelivr CDN (CC-BY 3.0). Standard HTTP metadata is sent with each request. See jsDelivr's privacy policy at jsdelivr.com/privacy.
api.aladhan.com — Prayer time calculations are fetched via the Aladhan API. Your approximate coordinates (latitude and longitude) are sent with this request to calculate accurate prayer times for your location. No personal identity is included.
Google Fonts — Fonts used on the website are served by Google Fonts. Google may log font requests. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Apple / Google (In-App Purchases) — Premium subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store) using their native billing systems (StoreKit 2 and Google Play Billing Library 7). We never receive your payment card details. Purchase verification is handled directly between your device and Apple's/Google's servers. These transactions are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies and terms.
Apple / Google (Distribution) — The app is distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Standard telemetry governed by their respective policies may be collected during download and updates.

We do not integrate any advertising networks, social media trackers, or marketing analytics platforms.

5. Cookies

The Qurantify mobile app does not use cookies. On iOS, Premium users' reading position, bookmarks and highlights are synced via Apple iCloud Key-Value Store (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore), which is governed by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy. The qurantify.com website uses only a single technical item of local storage to remember your chosen theme preference (dark/light/glass). This is not a tracking cookie and does not identify you personally.

6. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. All data stored by the app lives on your own device and can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data in your device Settings.

7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR & GDPR

If you are based in the UK or European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — You can view all data the app stores locally by checking your device's app storage settings.
Right to erasure — Delete all locally stored data by clearing the app's data in your device Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Right to object — You can withdraw location permission at any time via your device Settings, which will disable prayer times and Qibla features.
Right to lodge a complaint — You may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data rights have been violated.

Since we do not hold personal data on our servers, rights of access, portability, and rectification are satisfied by your device's local storage which you control directly.

8. Children's Privacy

Qurantify is a religious and educational application suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). By design, the app collects no personal information from any user.

9. Security

The qurantify.com website is served over HTTPS. The mobile app communicates with external APIs over encrypted HTTPS connections. As we do not store personal data on our servers, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal information is minimal.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
